Rock Point does not have an official Men’s Ministry, in the traditional sense of the word.  It is through our Home Groups that men team up with other men and challenge each other to be faithful in what God has asked of men and to be the spiritual leaders in their homes and relationships.  Men, within the Home Group context, meet separately as men to pray together, encourage one another, learn together and have fun together!  REAL men experiencing REAL life together!  Find a Home Group Today or for more information, please email homegroups@rockpointchurch.org.  Two other ways to connect with other Rock Point men are our annual MAN CAMP, as well as our SONS OF ASHER ministry.
50xmancamplogo Man Camp, an annual Rock Point Church event where men head into the great outdoors to let loose, get real and experience God. This year’s Man Camp will give men an opportunity to escape the busyness of their weekly routine while enjoying the rustic grandeur of Tonto National Forest.  Man Camp: ALL IN features Karl Clauson as the keynote speaker. Karl was born in Homer, Alaska and loves the outdoor. He completed the Iditarod Trail Race in 1978 at the age of 18. Karl served the Lord in South Africa, coaching a multi-racial track and field team while also planting churches.  The camp’s Worship Leader this year is Grammy-nominated, Dove-Award winning, Atlanta based Christian recording artist, Ricardo Sanchez.

sons of asher logo v4 white SONS OF ASHER is a short-term ministry designed to raise up men who KNOW, GROW & GO in a way that complements, but does not compete with, what RPC already offers through Home Groups .  Think of it this way… church is the regiment where a man serves his company, his Home Group is his squad, and the 2 to 3 men he is really close in community with, are his Fire Team. In this military scenario, SONS OF ASHER is a Boot Camp or Basic Training program that prepares the soldier to become a fully-engaged Jesus follower.  As we know, a good soldier doesn't stay in Basic Training forever. However, an intense, focused Basic Training experience will prepare him for the battles that lie ahead.

SONS OF ASHER is offered in five monthly contiguous rallies, by personal invitation from our Lead Pastor, Bill Bush, through Home Group leaders.  Each session consists of four parts: Activity, Teaching, Group Discussion and Fire Team Follow-Up Meetings Between Sessions.  Our Battle Plan is from FOUR PILLARS OF A MAN'S HEART by Stu Weber, the pillars of manhood being KING, WARRIOR, MENTOR and FRIEND.  If you have all four, you're balanced and standing strong.  If you're missing any of these pillars, you're dangerously out of balance and weakened.  Regain your balance and strengthen your spiritual foundation as you learn how the FOUR PILLARS OF A MAN'S HEART can help make you the man God intends you to be.

Our criteria for participants are men who are READY – the man must either be ready for his next challenge as a leader or he must be someone who's life has brought him to a place of brokenness; WILLING – the man must be willing to commit to attend each session; ABLE – he must be someone who is more than just willing, he must also be at a place in his life where he can make participation and attendance a priority; and COMMITTED – this man must be someone his HOME GROUP leader can make a commitment to and be comfortable challenging him to grow.
